Abe’s stances on past raising concerns, visiting U.S. Lawmakers say
TOKYO?Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s view of the past is the biggest cloud hanging over the future of U.S.-Japan ties, according to U.S. lawmakers visiting Tokyo this week.
“Some of these… issues stemming out of the 70th anniversary of World War II, that could really put some cracks into the relationship,” Rep. Diana DeGette, a Colorado Democrat, said in an interview with a small group of reporters Monday.
